[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide contract for a Software as a Service cloud hosted media management system that meets or exceeds the mandatory specifications and requirements. video capture, management, and delivery needs are expanding in multiple areas of the college. In the forefront is video delivery for teaching and learning to include distance learning and the growing area of innovative teaching as found within active learning classrooms. The college is also seeing increased demand for media delivery to the community through outreach and marketing-type activities. A dedicated media management system to manage, ensure accessibility, and deliver streamed content is a fundamental component of the students, faculty, employees, and community we serve.
- The resulting Media Management System should provide the following benefits and outcomes:
1. Integration with LMS; makes recording, storing and presenting videos “easier”
2. Provide cloud-hosted storage for videos
3. Better solution for captioning
4. Closer to 100% ADA compliance
5. Ease of use by using a centralized repository
- System must integrate with canvas by in structure learning management system using learning tool interoperability faculty and students use the LMS on a daily basis to review and submit coursework for face-to-face, hybrid and online courses. faculty will want to use the canvas html editor tool to embed digital content into announcements, discussions, assignments, quizzes and feedback. the solution will need to integrate with the assignment tool in canvas that will allow students to submit video, audio and digital images as part of graded assignments.
- Lecture Capture solution must have the ability to combine multiple simultaneous inputs including computer desktop, document and web camera.
- Live Streaming solution for classroom and campus activities must include the ability to stream live classroom events, office hours and live conferences and sporting events. A Live Streaming option can either be built-in or connected to popular web conferencing solutions like Zoom, Google Hangouts or other 3rd-Party tool.
- The solution must have the ability to embed codes and links to multiple college systems including Canvas LMS, WordPress, and Cascade CMS to provide common URL locations for campus media systems.
- The solution must include an administrative console for managing users and their roles along with configuration of features and functionality of the system. This feature will allow JCCC to determine who does what at all levels of the organization including students, faculty and support staff.
- Solution should have the ability to migrate stored media on current JCCC Youtube channel and local network storage locations to MMS.
- The solution should have the ability to perform full-text searching of video transcripts that will allow tracking of specific keywords locations in the videos.
- The solution must help JCCC be in compliance with federal accessibility requirements for delivery of online audio and video. Specifically, the system must have a mechanism for closed captioning and audio descriptions that can either be auto-generated or created to meet ADA compliance.
- For video and audio files that require greater accuracy for closed captioning and audio description pricing options for these services
(2) All question must be submitted no later than June 19, 2019.
