(1) Vendor needs to provide historical preservation surveys service to the government authority located in Topeka, KS.– The Consultant shall be responsible for conducting Activity II, Activity III, and Activity IV historic resource investigations in accordance with the Kansas Historic Preservation Office guidelines.• Activity II – Records Research and Field Reconnaissance Survey– Visiting each structure or property in order to assess its overall condition and integrity– Photographing each structure or property– Conducting such research as may be necessary for completion of the inventory forms– Inputting all relevant information into the KHRI for each structure or property• Activity III – Determination of Eligibility– Conducting detailed historical records research and, where applicable, oral history interviews– Conducting intensive field survey– Developing historic context statement• Activity IV – Mitigation Measures– Mitigation measures may include: avoidance, modification of construction plans, large–scale photographs, Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) documentation, Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation, or removal of the building, structure, or object to a new location.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 4, 2024.(3) The contract period will be for one year.
