[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide organizational diversity and inclusion consultant services to the government authority located in Wichita, KS.
• Develop a long-term roadmap [a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Plan] that is aligned with the county’s strategic plan and will ensure that barriers to inclusion continue to decrease, while internal awareness, knowledge, and skills continue to increase. This roadmap should include methods of long-term monitoring and evaluation that consider several areas, including but not limited to the internal staffing practices, policies and procedures, community partnership engagement, and ongoing staff education.
• Create defined metrics of success and aligning with goals for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan.
• Develop, execute, and perform comprehensive equity, diversity, and inclusion analysis of the organization including staff, boards, and local underserved communities.
• Support the development and facilitation of dialogues and outreach efforts that will engage employees, board members, and community members in this effort.
• Undertake an analysis of existing organizational strengths and gaps with clear recommendations on how best to build strengths that will encourage equity, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our organization and community. Explicitly identify opportunities for improvement with suggestions regarding how to operationalize those improvements.
• Provide knowledge and insight on best inclusion practices in the field.
• Develop an active and engaged diversity, equity, and inclusion committee comprised of key stakeholders with county staff and community partners.
• Guide and support development of a shared organizational goal on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Develop a public statement regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion that serves how Sedgwick County operates and makes decisions that impact budgeting, policies and procedures, operations, programming, outreach, and management practices.
• Develop and execute a training and education strategy that will increase the awareness, knowledge, and skills of Sedgwick County staff and boards as it pertains to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Will work in collaboration with county staff and any other LEAD for Kansas fellow assigned to this organizational role and project

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
