[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide full service architectural, engineering, and construction‐phase services as necessary to achieve a completed project of the highest quality, function, and performance to the government authority located in Olathe, KS.
- Provide all architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, fire protection, electrical, landscape, telecommunication, low voltage, and security design services and any other related design services which are normally or customarily furnished by the Architectural and Engineering professionals throughout the programming, planning, design, documentation, bidding, construction administration, and warranty phases.
- Actively engage with the Owner in a manner encouraging and supporting collaboration, cooperation, open communication, and trust.
- Development of a detailed work plan, updated on a regular basis, and presented to the Owner as necessary.
- Review existing programming and master plan documents as necessary.
- Facilitate meetings with staff to understand current facility usage and current staffing; to identify anticipated growth of the police staff as community population increases; to identify space needs to support the growth of the police staff.
- Develop and evaluate options for the build‐out of the police headquarters as needed to meet the space needs of the police department. Identify these build‐out options on a site plan to understand the impact to the 1983 police headquarters building, and to understand the impact and improvement to the overall Public Safety campus.
- Development of schematic and development designs for review, evaluation and approval by the owner and for budget development and evaluation.
- Modifications and adjustments to the schematic and development designs to meet the owner’s approval and to address budget requirements.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than April 17, 2020
